Jathagam.ai respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

  • Language preference — To display content in your chosen language.
  • Email / Mobile (when provided) — For account access, recovery, password reset, and essential service communications.
  • Birth details (date, time, place) — Used for horoscope (Jathagam) creation and AI Joshiyar (AI Astrologer) personalised guidance.
  • AI Astrologer conversations — Questions and responses are stored to maintain conversation context and improve guidance quality.
  • Payment information — Transaction references, payment status, and basic billing details for support purposes. Full card/UPI details are handled by our payment provider (Razorpay) and are not stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide content in your selected language.
  • To generate your horoscope and provide personalised AI guidance.
  • For account recovery, authentication, and essential service updates.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage only for essential functions such as language preference, session management, and security. You can clear browser storage at any time.

Sharing & Selling

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with anyone without your permission.

Data Retention

  • Horoscope (Jathagam) chart data — Stored as long as your account exists. You can delete individual charts from the My Charts page. Deleted charts enter a 7-day recovery window before permanent removal.
  • AI Astrologer conversations — Stored as long as the associated chart exists. Deleting a chart removes the related conversation history.
  • Account data (email, profile) — Retained until you request account deletion by contacting us.
  • Payment records — Retained as required by applicable laws and for support/audit purposes.
  • Analytics data — Aggregate and anonymised; retained as needed for service improvement.
  • Inactive accounts — If an account remains inactive for a continuous period of 6 months, we may delete or anonymise associated data, including horoscope charts and AI conversation history, as part of our data management and privacy practices.

Your Rights & Controls

  • You can opt out of non-essential communications where applicable.
  • You can delete individual horoscope charts from the My Charts page.

  • Account deletion — You can request complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contactus@jathagam.ai. Upon verification, your account and associated data will be permanently removed, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee 100% security.

Payments

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store full card or UPI details on our servers.

We may store transaction reference numbers, payment status, and basic billing information for support and account purposes.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India.
