In verse 12 of chapter 17 of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna explains the consequences of worship based on great desire. From a Jyotish perspective, Tula Rasi and Swathi Nakshatra are under the influence of Venus. Venus signifies wealth, beauty, and business acumen. Tula Rasi reflects balance and justice. Swathi Nakshatra desires self-improvement and freedom. Based on these, the life areas of career, finance, and family gain importance. To succeed in business, one must act with integrity and without great desire. In financial management, it is necessary to act frugally and justly. In family, love, compassion, and responsibility are crucial. Thus, by controlling great desires, one can attain true happiness and success in life through honest efforts.

In this verse, Lord Krishna states that any worship performed with the intention of rewards, glory, or respect is accompanied by the quality of great desire (Rajas). Such worship does not lead to true spiritual growth; it indicates human desires. Because there are thoughts of success, that worship is self-serving. Spiritual worship, on the other hand, should lead to complete self-liberation. Only such worship is superior.

According to Vedanta philosophy, a person operates with one of three qualities: Sattva, Rajas, or Tamas. The Rajas quality signifies great desire, speed, and desire-driven actions. This verse conveys that worship driven by the Rajas quality cannot truly achieve spiritual goals. Instead, meditation and devotion associated with the Sattva quality lead to spiritual advancement. Through this path, a person can control their great desires and attain true bliss.

In today's world, many strive to acquire money, wealth, and social status. In this context, Lord Krishna's advice is highly relevant. To achieve family welfare and success in business, one must act without great desire. It is essential to maintain a mindset free from greed while earning money and managing debts properly. In various platforms, including social media, one can achieve true spiritual well-being without losing their essence. Long-term thinking and a healthy lifestyle, including dietary habits, contribute to longevity and mental satisfaction. Properly fulfilling parental responsibilities is the foundation of a good family. Thus, if our actions have just purposes, true happiness and success in life will be attained.
